A Submersible

Marianne Spurr

In response to A Submersible's  invitation to submit some site-related research material, Marianne Spurr  has submitted a visual essay where the sequence of images follows a path of loose association. Images from Spurr's studio are combined with those of finished works and observations from daily life. Spurr has remarked that her thinking is "formulated through walking around the (urban) environment - collecting objects, observing patterns, surfaces and material behaviour and forging links and associations that then get processed and filtered back in the studio or in the exhibition space".
